Willy Wonka Cake..!

I have seen this cake in many blogs and have always been amaze with the vibrant colour. Does anyone know who created this ... I mean, the first person to come out with the idea! My girls wants to give her/him big, thank you, hugs.

Finally, we made this "Willy Wonka" cake. It was a chocolate cake filled with chocolate frosting and topped with M&M and Kit Kat. Great for kids party and as a gifts.

There has been a lot of baking and experimenting going on.  More time spent in the kitchen but my girls ( and their friends) were not complaining either as they get to taste all my "experiments".

Rich Chocolate Cheesecake

It has been more than a week since I updated this blog.  It takes me a long time to just write a few sentences....words don't come easy for me.

 

What have we missed?  We had unhealthy air quality level caused by haze that were triggered by forest fires in Indonesia and the dry spell. The haze got so bad that the schools were closed and we were advised to stay indoors. The situation now is better as the haze has cleared and we can see the sun again...Yeah!!

 

The girls love the cheesecakes that we used to buy in Arizona. They have tried a few cheesecakes here and it does not satisfy their taste. So, as we were confined indoors, we tried out this new chocolate cheesecake recipe. The base is made from crushed Oreo cookies. As for the topping, we had a few options but Isha requested for buttercream frosting, so that is what we did. I would personally topped it with chocolate ganache. Overall, it was delicious and the girls finished the whole cake in 3 days.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

What is Father's Day without  a cake?  I decided to bake a coffee infused chocolate cake, rather than the usual moist chocolate cake.

              

 

This is Mocha Chocolate Cake with Lemon buttercream filling and frosted with chocolate mocha buttercream.

 

 

 

Our hero loved it. He and the girls finished the 9" cake within a couple of days.

 

 

 

A week ago, I baked a moist chocolate cake filled and frosted with fluffy vanilla buttercream for a father's day celebration. This is the only decent photo I had as it was devoured before I could get my camera.

 



 

What can I say! Our chocolate cakes rock!
