Happy 2015

A month has already gone past and we are in the 2nd month of 2015. It is amazing how fast time flies. Before we realise it, we are already in a new month and they are so many things to do and so little time.

Last year was an emotional roller coster year. We lost an amazing uncle, who will always be in our hearts, and a close family of three in an horrific incident. Planes crashed and disappeared closed to home. It was difficult to accept them.

We hope that this new year will be more peaceful and bring joy to many.

Roses in Bakes!

Roses!  Romantic, classy and elegant. All those vibrant and soft colors that just melts the heart. I just love them.

I have incuded roses made from buttercream, royal icing, ganache and fondant in some of bakes as seen in the following photos.  Thay are not perfect ( I am still new) but I am proud of every one of them.

Liverpool Birthday Cake

My hubby is a die hard Liverpool soccer fan. He has been rooting for them through thick and thin for the past 35 years. Loyal,uh ?

Monday was his 42nd birthday. Well, he knows we were making a cake for him.  The girls chose the cake flavor, Lemon (of course, it was their favorite!). We decided to surprise him by doing his soccer team logo for the deco. The logo was done using FBCT (Frozen buttercream transfer). It was my first attempt and it took quite an effort.  But the best part was the look on my hubby's face when he saw the cake.  It was all worth the effort and more.

Happy birthday, darling.

You mean the world to us.
